Holos Architecture Releases Renders for Biophilic Residence Seamless Sanctuary

Holos Architecture + Design, in collaboration with Pine and Peak Builders, is pleased to share new renderings of Seamless Sanctuary, an upcoming 1,300 sq. ft. mountain residence in Fairplay, Colorado.

Set in an existing clearing at the base of a hillside, the house treads lightly on the site. A retaining wall, clad in stone quarried on-site, will anchor the structure into the slope while minimizing excavation and tree removal. Native vegetation will extend across the roof, softening the profile and helping the home blend into the landscape.

“The main goal behind Seamless Sanctuary is to create a house that blends into the site and is respectful of its surroundings, while opening views so the clients can enjoy the gorgeous landscape,” said Rushika Gill, AIBC, NCARB, Founder and Principal of Holos Architecture. “Renders capture that feeling. Seeing materials applied and understanding the scale really helps clients envision what it’s going to feel like when it’s finished.”

Inside, a linear plan gives every room valley views to the north. Operable clerestory windows along the south corridor will promote natural ventilation and passive comfort. The long stone wall is intended to be structural and will double as a gallery for the clients’ art and artifacts, reinforcing the connection between architecture and site.

Renderings show a natural palette and a strong indoor/outdoor connection that reflects Holos’s context-driven, biophilic approach.

“Holos puts a lot of thought into designing for its context,” explained Gill. “Tying in biophilic design principles brings nature into your life and positively impacts living in a home. It elevates the experience and instills a sense of calmness and groundedness.”

Construction is expected to start in spring 2025, with completion anticipated in early 2026.
